Dearborn Magnet High School

Dearborn Parent Sex Education Survey 22-23

During the 2022-2023 school year the Dearborn Public Schools will be reviewing its Human Health and Development Curriculum that is taught in grades five, seven, and nine.  Parents are always their child’s first and most important teacher, especially when it comes to personal topics that involve family values and morals.  The District is required by state law to include a lesson on HIV/AIDS.  As always, parents are allowed to opt-out of this lesson by completing a form sent home from your student’s school.  Parents are key partners in determining the Health Education curriculum, and we invite you to share your thoughts.

To learn more about sex education in Dearborn Public Schools, please contact Scott Hummel at hummels@dearbornschools.org or 313-827-3180. Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete the following survey and share your thoughts with us. The results will help the district be responsive to parent views.  Please complete only one survey per family no later than September 16, 2022..
