Dearborn Magnet High School

Welcome to the Dearborn Magnet High School

The Dearborn Magnet High School offers a flexible, self-paced pathway to earn a Dearborn Public Schools diploma. Combining online coursework with targeted in-person support, the program empowers students to take ownership of their education.

Key Points:

  • Complete one class at a time every 2–4 weeks using the Edgenuity online learning platform.

  • Students are encouraged to take organized notes, which can be used on all quizzes, unit tests, and finals.

  • Enrolled students will graduate directly from Dearborn Magnet High School. (Note: Enrolling is a full transfer; students do NOT return to their home school).
  • Students are expected to dedicate 3–5 hours per day (Monday–Friday) to their schoolwork.

Attendance & Testing Requirements

  • Required weekly check-ins every week with assigned teachers.

  • For students who fall behind pace that are required in-person learning labs (notifications are sent via school email every Friday).

  • Final exams must be taken in-person at the Michael Berry Career Center.

  • Mandatory in-person state testing takes place every April and is a graduation requirement. Families will be notified of the days closer to April.
