Dearborn Magnet High School
Welcome to the Dearborn Magnet High School
The Dearborn Magnet High School offers a flexible, self-paced pathway to earn a Dearborn Public Schools diploma. Combining online coursework with targeted in-person support, the program empowers students to take ownership of their education.
Key Points:
-
Complete one class at a time every 2–4 weeks using the Edgenuity online learning platform.
-
Students are encouraged to take organized notes, which can be used on all quizzes, unit tests, and finals.
- Enrolled students will graduate directly from Dearborn Magnet High School. (Note: Enrolling is a full transfer; students do NOT return to their home school).
- Students are expected to dedicate 3–5 hours per day (Monday–Friday) to their schoolwork.
Attendance & Testing Requirements
-
Required weekly check-ins every week with assigned teachers.
-
For students who fall behind pace that are required in-person learning labs (notifications are sent via school email every Friday).
-
Final exams must be taken in-person at the Michael Berry Career Center.
-
Mandatory in-person state testing takes place every April and is a graduation requirement. Families will be notified of the days closer to April.
